MeXican Blankts Serape

Serape blankets come in many different colors. The vibrancy of the blanket is created by dying each color strand separately before hand-looming to create striped color waves that seem to melt into each other. The largest stripe is always the primary color and repeated throughout weave, along with complimentary colors. There are also serapes made in lighter tones and softer shades. You can also find them in colors of the same tones as well. The ends of the serapes blankets are usually finished with fringed ends. Because of the nature of the weave, each finished blanket is a beautiful, unique work of textile art.
